The Kigali Metropolitan police moved into a brand new office located in Remera, Gasabo district to better serve the public.
According to Minister of internal security Fazil Musa Harerimana , the new offices will house the Kigali Metropolitan police headquarters , the Gasabo district police headquarters as well as Remera police station.
“This new office has come to solve some of the issues Police has been facing mainly space to work from,” said the Minister.
He added that the new office is in line with President Kagame’s call to have government organs work in clean and conducive environment. With this modern complex that has cost over Rwf1.6 billion has over 25 office rooms, a conference hall, modern prison cells that meet the required international standards.
The police spokesperson, Celestin Twahirwa says that the new offices will provide conducive environment for both police as well as the public in its bid to provide quality services.
He also said that Police is planning to build more of these modern offices countrywide to enable the police force improve and strengthen its efforts to provide quality services to the public.
